The Sikkim permit requirements

Sikkim is a restricted state, and travelers must obtain a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) and a Protected Area Permit (PAP) before visiting. EastIndiaTrip handles all the required paperwork for a hassle-free journey.

Documents Required:

For Adults: # Voter ID, Driving License or Passport.

For Children: # Birth Certificate/ Passport.

Travelers are advised to bring photocopies of all necessary documents and passport-size photographs required for permit applications.

Package Policy & Terms

The packages offered can be customized according to guest’s wish and us.

Photo ID card (except Pan Card) mandatory while you are on tour.

To ensure smooth services, Company can also make alternations in the tour. The reasons for such changes can be acts of god, technical problems, sudden service issues, government policies or any other similar situation.

Package will not be considered booked until advance amount have been received by us.

In case of cancellation, We will process the refund within 72 hours only after receiving it from the concerned Hotel/Transporter/other service providers

An Essential Travel Guide for Sikkim Tour

It is a high-rise area in the North of Sikkim. A safe and comfortable trip is impossible without proper preparation.

1# Clothing • Jackets, gloves, thermals, and mufflers made of wool. • A warm cap in case of cold winds.

2# Plastic Ban • Sikkim prohibits the use of single-use plastic bottles. Transport refurbishable bottles to get fined.

3# Oxygen • Travelers going to high-altitude locations like the Gurudongmar Lake should carry around the portable oxygen cans. These cans are available in the local market.

4# Footwear • Traction A heavy-duty footwear or boots are required in snowy or uneven surfaces.

5# Medicines • Carry drugs against altitude sickness, motion sickness and simple first aid.

Cancellation policy

For cancellations request received prior to the 30 days of tour start date, there will be fully refund after GST charges applied.

Cancellations made between 29 days to 15 days of the tour, 25% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.

Cancellations made between 14 days to 8 days of the tour, 50% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.

Cancellations made between 7 days to 3 days of the tour, 75% of the tour cost will be charged as cancellation charges.

Cancellations made within 2 days of the tour or No show scenarios, 100% cancellation charges will apply.

For any changes in the route due to various unavoidable circumstances (i.e.; Natural Calamities, Rallies, strike etc.) the supplementary travel cost has to be paid by the customer to the driver directly.
